Oregon's Workplace Fairness Act

    Oregon's Workplace Fairness Act-- provisions go into effect on October 1, 2020. The new law requires that all employers doing business in Oregon distribute a harassment policy with specific provisions; restricts confidentiality, non-disparagement, and no rehire provisions in settlement and separation agreement; impacts golden parachutes for executives found to have engaged in harassment; and significantly lengthens the statute of limitations for employment discrimination claims from 1 to 5 years.
