Building capacity to support the retention and development of employees holding other minoritized identities.

Literature highlights the importance of developing capacity among supervisors to support employees of color and employees holding other minoritized identities. Unfortunately, this professional development and skill building among supervisors is rarely emphasized or expected, in part, because concrete actions to deliver culturally-specific support can be elusive, or support work is left to ERGs. We’ll discuss a framework for supervisor capacity building and engage a case study to deliberate how to create capacity for this important work.
