Has your organization reached compliance with Oregon Pay Equity? If not, you’re not alone. The revised Oregon Equal Pay Act was implemented on January 1, 2019. Every employer (except federal government) in State of Oregon is required to comply. The standards are universal and require a significant amount of work to determine compliance, evaluate pay practices and maintain compliance going forward. The initial steps include an analysis of each job against five characteristics, comparative analysis of total compensation for employees, and detailed review of policy and practice for realignment as needed. We will review the specific changes, the new obligations and discuss how to reach success in this very important area of compliance.
