Join us for the January Membership Meeting- Recognition and Response to Suicide Risk in the Workplace
“Suicide is a leading cause of death for Americans – and it’s a tragedy for families and communities across the country,” said CDC Principal Deputy Director Anne Schuchat, M.D. “From individuals and communities to employers and healthcare professionals, everyone can play a role in efforts to help save lives and reverse this troubling rise in suicide.”
This session will explore the follow key prevention components necessary for employers to identify and prevent tragedy among their teams:
• How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal
• How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide
• The common causes of suicidal behavior
• The warning signs of suicide
• How to get help for someone in crisis

Bethany Wallace, LCSW is the Director of Quality Improvement for Trillium Family Services. Bethany joined TFS in 2011 following completion of a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Bethany has held a variety of roles with Trillium and has been an integral part the organizations clinical training and staff development program. Trillium Family Services, a community benefit organization, is Oregon’s leader in providing mental and behavioral healthcare for children and families.
